London is a vibrant capital with many exciting sights, museums and exhibitions. Our school trips to London can be adapted to include your own choice of visits. Most schools will want to take a prebooked flight on the EDF Energy London Eye along with a river cruise. The London Eye has become one of the city's most recognizable landmarks and is a great way to see the city. A visit to Parliament Square, The London Dungeon and the SEA LIFE London Aquarium can be easily combined, followed by sightseeing cruise along the Thames past the Houses of Parliament. The WW2 Cabinet Rooms and Imperial War Museum are very popular visits.
Experience the UK’s most thrilling theme park as you’re thrown, spun, swung and soaked on some of Europe’s most extreme rides. Climb aboard a life raft and get in a spin on Storm Surge, the ultimate sky-high spinning water ride. Go round the twist and lose control on the jaw-dropping 64ft spiralling descent and try to stay dry in the line of water canon fire! Find out more about all 13 Curriculum based workshops and the special events programme at www.THORPEPARK.com/schools .
The London Eye has become an iconic landmark and a symbol of modern Britain. The London Eye is the UK's most popular paid for visitor attraction, visited by over 3.5 million people a year. A breathtaking feat of design and engineering, passengers in the London Eye's capsules can see up to 40 kilometres in all directions.
No visit to London would be complete without a visit to Madame Tussauds. Step onto the Royal Balcony and have your photo taken with Her Majesty the Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh. Meet Prince Charles, Harry and Wills. Experience the glittering world of fame in our interactive A-list party.
The London Dungeons is a very popular visit with teenagers who seem to love being terrified! There are several zones of horror: Labyrinth of the Lost is a large mirror maze themed around the crypt of All Hallows Church in London. The Great Plague show is set in 1665 during the Great Plague of London, and London is depicted as riddled with the plague, with thousands dying in agony.
There's a huge choice of great shows in London's West End Theatres. We can book your tickets at a reduced rate (normally half price). Try to see a show during the week (avoid Friday and Saturday nights) for the best deals - evening or a matinee. You can see the latest shows on offer by visiting the Groupline website below.
Chessington World of Adventures has a Theme Park, Zoo and Sea Life centre all in one resort! The Theme Park has 9 themed lands with an amzing range of rides to suit all ages. Try the Dragon's Fury where you get propelled along by the rage of the furious dragon’s breath on this spin-tastic rollercoaster. Toss and turn on the high seas with the adventure that is Seastorm. Faster than you think and with more twists and turns than a ship in high waters, this is dizzying fun for the whole class. In the zoo you'll see over 1,000 animals from the exotic and endangered to the just plain cute. Laugh at mischievous meerkats or come nose to nose with sharks and rays in the Sea Life centre.
