Modern hotels with ensuite facitlites

We know the importance of a good hotel. We work closely with a number of hotel groups including IBIS (part of ACCOR the world's largest hotel group), Campanile , Kyriad and Comfort hotels. On most city tours we use modern  2* hotels with 24 hour reception, en-suite rooms and buffet breakfasts. In Ypres and the Somme  we work with a chain of special School Hotels which offer exclusive accommodation to each school. We also use modern youth hostels in Holland and Germany.

For some schools price may be less of an issue and we can sometimes offer an upgrade to a 3* hotel such as a Novotel or Mercure. These hotels have larger bedrooms, public lounges and sometimes a swimming pool (unsupervised). Let us know if you would like to upgrade when you ask for a quote.

Wide choice of Channel Crossings

We work with all the ferry operators including P&O Ferries, SeaFrance and Brittany Ferries.  We can prebook meals onboard the ferries. SeaFrance and P&O Ferries operate on the  Dover - Calais route. The crossing takes around 75 minutes. The good thing about the ferry crossing is that your students can eat in the cafeteria. The crossing also breaks the journey and gives everyone a chance to strecth their legs and use the loos. P&O Ferries also offer Hull - Zeebrugge (overnight)  which can save a lot of driving in Europe. Brittany Ferries operate from Portsmouth to Caen and Cherbourg (Day and Night sailings) which is ideal for schools visiting Normandy and Brittany.

The Eurotunnel service takes only 35 minutes between Folkestone and Calais. The journey is so smooth you may not even notice the carriage is moving. Your group remains on or beside the coach in the carriage during the crossing. There are toilets in the carriage. This is the best way to cross the Channel if you are on a Day Trip as there is a significant time saving. There are supplements for travel by Eurotunnel at peak times of the year.

When you arrange a school trip you want the administration to be simple and efficient . That's why we only ask for two payments. First a deposit of £50 per student is paid to confirm the tour. Then you pay the balance ten weeks before the departure date. You can pay by cheque (made out to Rhapsody Tours) or by a BACS payment directly into our bank account. Your money is protected by our bonding through AITO. Rhapsody Tours Limited complies with Package Tour Regulation 20, 1992 for the protection of customers' holiday payments. Rhapsody Tours is a member of AITO (member 1152) and all customer monies are protected by the AITO Trust Bonding scheme which is approved by the Department of Trade and Industry.
